The Lake Front center proposes a museum about the Lake Michigan waterfront housed in an existing structure in the Chicago Loop area. The structure, a two story underground concrete parking garage, required large scale interventions to bring in natural light and allow circulation from grade level. The space appears to have been revealed by the erosion of a body of water. A large graphic slice provides a datum through all levels of the museum.
